All new cars from November 1st 2014 will have to have, by law, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). TPMS has also become part of the MOT Test for all cars fitted with TPMS technology, first used on or after 1st January 2012.
There is, therefore, now a legislative requirement to maintain these systems correctly and to keep them functioning.
It may simply mean that your tyre pressures need adjusting, and the system re-setting. No need to worry, call in and we can do this for you.
Of course you may have sustained a tyre puncture. Again we can repair tyres to British Standard BSAU 159. It's best to get the tyre checked ASAP on safety grounds, so just call in! Tyre sensors have a 5-year life span, and the warning light might indicate that a sensor is starting to fail, possibly the internal sensor battery. We have the latest ATEQ diagnostic equipment to enable us to check tyre sensors for accuracy and battery life etc. It only takes a few minutes to check all 4 sensors on a typical car/van. Again, please call in.
Finally, should you need a replacement tyre sensor, we carry stocks and can get you back on the road quickly and inexpensively.
